Photography and selling

 This is one of my biggest pet peeves with real estate agents in today's fast paced technology driven environments....

When you are looking to sell your home, you must begin to put yourself in the mindset of a buyer, one of the most important items is the presentation the buyer sees online. Photography is a key factor in selling your home. If you do not have an agent who is bringing in a professional photographer top take your listing photos, there is a very high probability that you have higher the wrong agent.

In a news release from December 2018, the National Association of Realtors says that “99% of Millennials search on online websites compared to 90% of Older Boomers and 70% of the Silent Generation”. When you consider how buyers are viewing your property, the first thing these buyers are going to see is the thumbnail image for your property, then the buyer is going to look at the rest of the images if the thumbnail catches their eye. If you have photos that are taken from a poor angle, they are blurry, the windows are shining too much light in and blinding the camera the buyer you may have, that is looking for your house, will likely never want to see it.

I look through properties daily, and I have seen people selling properties from almost zero dollars to millions of dollars and all the prices in between. Poor photography has 100% stopped buys of mine from wanting to go see certain listings. If there is anything I can truly say, photography is one of the MOST IMPORTANT factors in selling your home. Of course, it is not the only factor, but it is a huge factor.
